My Bio

I believe there is no border between life and art.

I struggle every day to try being the better part of this world.

I work hard for change through daily actions and I set on the canvas all my humanity.

I am, first and foremost, a mother.

I believe in the strength of the example I give every day to my children.

Painting is my strongest way to communicate with them because their future starts now.

I don’t want to please with my brushes’ strokes, I want to create questions.

The deeper the questions, the more my paintings can aspire to be part of the change.

I, snails and a virus have helped to bring forward Overshoot Day 2020. Who knows me, also knows my every slithering and dampish thing phobia. If I try to remember the moment in which my obsession was born, I can only remember the day in which my grandmother sent me in the garden to pick up tomatoes and at a certain point, I found an explorer worm climbing my calf. Another child, perhaps, would have been happy and curious to be visited by this peaceful animal, but I have gone mad and have continued to be so far, every time a worm or a snail crosses my way. Try to imagine my enthusiasm when I moved to London and I found a garden overrun by snails! But, mostly, can you imagine what I was thinking when I decided to make of it a vegetable garden? Pure madness! Four years are passed and the phobia didn’t disappear, but I realized that every time I pick up vegetables, in particular lettuce, chard and spinach, I use every leaf, also the ones clearly visited from my dear snails. I observe

To feel, or not to feelThat is the question Nadia Camandona Jun 15 As a sci-fi fan, since I can remember, I always related myself with the existence of robots: from R. Daneel Olivaw, created by Isaac Asimov, to Arthur C. Clarke’s HAL 9000, through the exploring of the Star Trek android, Data, of his inability to feel emotions, the unforgettable androids in Alien series (Ash, Bishop, Bishop II, Cale, and David/Walter in its prequels), the ruthless Terminator (or, more specifically, Skynet), the sapient program in Matrix, The Oracle, and so on. After all my life spent dreaming of the existence of the robots — and specul

My tribute to his creators H.R. Giger and Dan O'Bannon. Exploration. Acrylic on canvas. 36"x24". Credits O’Bannon’s Alien D3. H.R. Giger (1977) N. 238, The Spell II (detail), H.R. Giger (1974) I discovered the Master H.R. Giger many years after I have seen Alien, the movie. I was highly impressed by the Alien but I didn’t think of his creator until I restarted to paint and I started to research inspiration models. It was obvious that an incredible creature as Alien has been created only by a genius. And finally, Giger appeared on my path, giving a new meaning for my passion for Alien: behind the perfect physiology of this
